Nathan Savory
Hello and thank you for dropping by my website.
I have known the presence of a camera in my life for as long as I can remember. Clearly it started in the hands of my parents, but as soon as I was able to take my own pictures, there was no stopping me.
My passion for the outdoors has been with me from a young age: for years, I’ve been taking my camera on adventures, which has allowed me to capture those moments of fun and friendship.
Whether it’s been photographing outdoor adventurers and instructor training courses for various outdoor centres, to intimate and relaxed engagement shots, to the joy of a wedding day, to recording the story of a Mountain Rescue training day in the snowy Scottish hills, I enjoy using my camera to tell the story.
Sweeping panoramic vistas that take your breath away, fine detail shots and long exposure scenes – these are all examples of how I like to play with my camera to turn a simple picture into a piece of art.
As a trained outdoor instructor, and qualified Mountain Leader and Level 2 canoe & kayak coach, capable at climbing, mountain biking, winter mountaineering, I am able to venture into the outdoors to keep up with the best adventure days! I have also been a Scottish Mountain Rescue volunteer when I lived in Killin.
I have been shortlisted for the Landscape Photographer of the Year award (LPOTY), and have won competitions for my photography in various places – from my local camera club, village shows and Trail Running magazine!
Photographers such as Ed Collacott, Joolze Diamond and Nadir Khan are my inspiration, producing images of a high standard that capture different subjects beautifully.
I'd love to chat with you to discuss how I might help you with your next event, project or story. Do drop me a line by using the contact form.
