Shifting light from Cat Bells

Somedays, the light keeps shifting and moving, and if you grab your camera quick enough, you can capture the spot where the light just touches a particular spot perfectly.

An afternoon walk up Cat Bells, is a popular one from Keswick, and we'd set out for three hour adventure just for an afternoon.

With the snow melt and then re-icing, the trail was slippery, and unstable, and even the dog was taking her time to descend. We watched streams of ill-equipped tourists, wander up there. We were pleased to have our walking poles, and take our time.

Yet the low pressure had caused a low cloud build up, of deep greys, and sunlit spots. They made for an afternoon of stunning photographs.
