Now you can't have a birthday without homemade sushi (did I say homemade ginger?) and beers from Handsome Brewery on the beach.
A canoe and a paddleboard with three marvellous people completed a special birthday for our dear friend.
Looking north was a spot of blue sky and sunshine. Look south, and the hills are covered in snow. The dramatic effect on the water (not to mention the size of the upcoming waves!) turned a special picnic spot on Coniston into rather a wilder and windier finish to the day!
